More than nine lakh applicants are applying for learner’s licences every year. Initially Learner's driving licence was issued from 36 regional transport offices. But in order to ease the rush at these RTOs and to serve the society effectively, from 15 Nov 2019 Learner's driving license are now issued from 221 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 29 polytechnics.
Government Polytechnic, Ahmedabad is one of these 29 polytechnics, who is serving society in this task of issuing Learner Driving license.
Online test is conducted and after successful attempt of the test, user is issued a learner's license.Daily 12 candidates online tests are carried out at Institute to issue Learners License.
